CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKES
Here's how you can make delicious lava cake at home!
RECIPE
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
1 cup powdered sugar
2 large eggs + 2 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C). Grease 4 ramekins and dust them with cocoa powder.
Melt the butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring constantly until smooth.
Remove from heat and whisk in the powdered sugar, eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Sift in the flour and salt, and mix until just combined.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins.
Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly jiggly.
Let the cakes cool in the ramekins for 1-2 minutes, then carefully run a knife around the edges and invert onto plates.
Top with vanilla ice cream (optional) and serve immediately.
